STAND offers individual and group treatment in six cities throughout North Dakota: Fargo, Grand Forks, Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, and Dickinson.
STAND clinicians regularly consult and collaborate with parole and probation officers to ensure each offender's unique needs are being met and risks are being reduced to protect public safety. STAND leadership regularly collaborates with corrections officials in order to evaluate and develop programming and ensure delivery of a high quality, evidence based program focused on improving public safety.
STAND currently serves adult sex offenders of all risk levels, both pre and post-trial, referred for community-based sex offender treatment. We serve high risk offenders contractually through the North Dakota Department of Corrections. We also serve other risk levels through self-pay or United States probation referral.
STAND's treatment services are administered by masters and doctoral level mental health providers and supervised by highly trained, experienced experts in sex offender risk assessment and treatment. Treatment with STAND is based on the Risk Needs Responsivity model of criminal justice intervention, and our clinicians are trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions for Sex Offenders by the University of Cincinnati Corrections Institute.
